camaro ss vs bmw335xi

i know this is a little different, but the 335 xi is bmws 300hp twin turbo. you can lease a 335xi for probalby the same youd be making payments on the ss, what is everyones thoughts?

the styling is totally different for both, but the 335 also sports the more classier sophisticated look

BMW 335xi is a diffrent car. It's all wheel drive and I think a better car shoud be compared is the 335i(rear wheel drive) with the V6 Camaro

I agree that it shouldn't be the all wheel drive 335, but the SS still starts at more than $10 000 less than the 335i. The 328i or even the 1 series are a lot closer.

I think the better comparison would be the SS vs the 135i ... The 135i is just a little more expensive (depending on options) ... I think this would be a pretty good matchup.

I am thinking that this is more a comparison for the V6 performance wise and for the price of the BMW you could buy an SS instead. Granted the BMW may be nicer inside if you want performance getting the BMW instead of the SS seems kind of crazy.

i LOVE bimmers, had the new camaro not saved me, im sure i would be driving a 335i today, but, i am now still in the fourth gen, waiting on cammy

and i think the camaro will be the bimmer in just about every performance way, but it is more refined on the inside, it personal preferance

I'm wondering why you would say this? The 335i with the Turbo engine is a pretty good performer. It won't pull the MPH in the 1/4 but will pull about the same ET or right around there.

Don't compare lease payments to purchase payments...

At the end of the lease you own nothing and you can't mod the car if you want to...

Better off with american V8 and the ultra low cost of maintaince..

Not to mention the Camaro SS should be faster.

Support america and buy american brands..

Just my personal preference..

My neighbor has a 335xi. I have to say its a nice car. The 4WD means a great launch every time. I'm not going to dismiss it out of hand. It definatly does not feel like "just" 300 hp. The torque curve is very impressive. The interior is very nice. He got it at 0.9%, so the payments are semi-reasonable for the car that it is. Soft touch / leather all around.

Despite all that, I'm VERY happy that I ordered the 2SS/RS. I'm confident that it'll turn with the BMW (per Nurburgring times) and smack it down in the straight line. The Camaro will be a ton more fun. What's not to love?
