I love the new styling. I think the front end is a major upgrade and the rear end is neutral. All in all, I think it's great. I love the vent in the hood.

I agree with your assessment. The front is much improved with the loss of the "mailslot" (poor SSOOCH ) larger lower grill and with the thinner upper grill, it makes it look more aggressive. The extractor on the hood is functional and should help with cooling and aero (downforce at speed). The rear does leave you with a hmmmm, something feels out of place feeling, but like you say, maybe the effect(design) has neutralized it some.

Another poster stated that he felt that it looked more balanced with the larger, singular taillights on either side as opposed to the older style, but that is his perception because he's probably providing a fresher perspective than most of us that have been admiring it for so long. I would say he makes a valid point in that regards.

The rear diffuser goes up too high. Just go ahead and make the whole car out of plastic on the next refresh.

I gotta say our dual exhaust on the 2013 looks better with the diffuser we have than on the 2014... As for the Recaros...I'm almost certain you can buy a set and that they will fit in a 2013...but for the cold air intake on the new Z/28 I'm not too certain if the same theory applies to it. I for one will not need to worry about that when I get a SLP Eaton TVS Supercharger with the BLACKWING CAI. Also, I am planning on a couple of carbon fiber body parts starting with the hood and then the trunk, so I will see where that takes me.

Having washed mine a couple of times I think the extra black plastic in key places will help. The lower side of the quarters and rear collect a lot of road film and grit. It always requires extra attention when cleaning, and extra care has to be taken when washing it. Otherwise you run the risk of scratching up the paint.

Looks like exhaust can go in and out easier with this diffuser. A manufacturing and maintenance plus.

Also, some mechanical stuff looks good if clean and symmetrical like this pic.

As for pics, everyone is encouraged follow the link to the REAL thread at: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=292547

I can only imagine them making the 6thGen with a rear diffuser tat makes it way up to the taillights

You should really think about getting a set of rear ZL1 splash guards. They can be had for about $60 for a pair and they install really easily. Tramtwo has a nice DIY on it.
They are very subtle but will help keep the rear quarters from getting sand blasted by the rear tires.

Know of a good place to get some splash guards? I'm assuming someplace other than the dealer to save a few bucks.

Ordered mine from RPI, the full kit with ZL1 rears. I am more worried about protecting the gills, 400 miles and I can already see small chips.

The RS package elements are now included in the 1LE package. So there won't be a "non-RS" version.

Man I can't believe how much they messed this refresh up. I feel sorry for those buying a 2014 ZL1 with that plain jane rear end. The best looking part of the 2014 Camaro's is the ZL1 front end!

IMO the 2014 1LE is the best looking camaro. I LOVE the hood and the new front end is far more aggressive. The rear end isn't too bad and is growing on me actually. I don't mind the tail lights and the diffuser is said to eliminate some ballooning problems though I wish it could be body color matched or black. Glad the mail slot is a thing of the past- i never liked it but to each his own. I also love the look of that silver car! If I were in the market for a 2014 Camaro, I'd go 1LE all the way. Great looking car. Better looking than the zl1 and the z/28. I also think those red calipers stand out so much nicer than the black on the z's. Do they say Camaro or brembo? Can't tell. Add in the recaro's and wow!

And for the record, I drive a manual CTS-V, have driven a manual camaro SS and a manual zl1, and I think the SS felt just as fast as its supercharged brothers.
