Garage Floor

Post up your pics of your custom garage floors!!

I am looking to cover my garage floor with either tiles or get a custom expoxy job done and kinda want to see what other have done.

If you have done the plastic tiles was it tuff to make a pattern and install??

This is not my garage, but my shop. We hired some locals to do a epoxy floor coat and then also epoxy coated the walls. It was expensive but cleanliness is next to godliness or whatever they say

I did the epoxy 4 years ago and could not be happier. Easy to clean; hose off, mop with simple green if needed, then squeegee out the excess water. I got a leaf blower for Christmas to hopefully make it easier.

One thing I will point out is that a lot of places will try to get you to do the flake on the floor. Problem is that is you do any wrenching in your garage it is tougher to find dropped nuts and bolts in the flake as opposed to a one color floor.

Also, make sure you get a reputable company because no matter how good they are you will have issues. I have a lifetime guarantee. I just give them a call and they come out in the spring to fix anything, usually chips from dropped parts from winter protects or separation in the expansion cracks.

Ready to go.

So shiny you can see it reflecting on the walls. When it is clean it still does this.

I bought two DYI garage floor kits from Menards, with acid, acid brush, and 18" paint roller, trim brush less than $250 for a 730 sq ft garage. I would not do tiles. I believe they would be hard to clean. Be careful with a high gloss mirror finish like what is pictured above. Even with my base epoxy finish it is slick when wet. My kids slip and fall when wet. It is not an issue for adults but my little kids have gone boom everytime I wash my ride.

In general, While compared to price tiles are the best source to you, even though they are available in plenty of models which gives the awesome look.
