v6 to LS2??

okay I'm in a researching stage right now..

If I were to have a plain jane V6 '10 camaro and have a complete pull out LS2 with its computer...what would have to happen to swap it in and it actually working?

and did the v6 camaro get the same tranny / rear as the ss did? and if not can it even handle the power it puts out?

I'm sure I got more questions..just can't think of any right now

thanks

Well I know for sure that the tranny and rear end are different than the SS. And then getting the LS2 computer to work with all the Camaro wiring/guages/switches is gonna be a chore to say the least.

Another one of theses threads... seriously... WHY? Just buy the V8!

COULD it be done.... yes but the costs, time and problems to do it aren't worth even trying. You'd end up over your head or sick of dealing with it and scrapping the project.

engine control is done through the ecu so the harness and ecu and maybe bcm from the ls2 car... maybe a custom OS on the ecu would be needed.. not sure about the trans but you can get the trans attached to the ls2 along with the engine for the complete swap and then my guess is a custom driveshaft and your good to go I would think. The wiring and harness work in my mind is the biggest obstacle. If your doing all the work yourself its cheaper for than buying a used ss right now at 30k for sure but your still going to be into for a lot of time .. not sure what you have for a donor car but that is an obvious factor with the money ..LOL

never say never
