I'll be good with the following set up, optimizing my 1LE set up, (possibly a Knuckle Drop and the Z/28 package) with 10.5" Forgelines all around with 295's on 20's and a heads, cam, intake package on my LS3. It'll be more than enough for my skill set and wallet.

Depending on price of the Knuckle Drop I may skip the springs and do them instead of the springs with my bushings and the old Pedders rear bar.

I like where you are going with your build. Skip the springs ;-)

Make me an offer I can't refuse. lol

I can wear out my 1LE stuff then move to Z/28 parts...

I'll buy through Tyler @ JDP.

Really is cost dependant...

JDP is a JPSS Premier Partner and one of the best in the country. I highly recommend them.

Yeah I know they are a distributor of yours. They are my go to vendor.

I just bought the last parts for my upgrade from them.

I'm going to hold off my install waiting to see how much these knuckles are.

Possible plan change happening...

I'm glad someone with lots of weight and experience behind them bring this point up, fully agreed.

I'm on the same program. An LS3 can readily get over 500 rwhp. Which is more than enough.

If I HAD to go forced induction it would be a TT set up mounted as low and as far back as possible.

Beat me to the punch, I was about to ask JusticePete his thoughts on the AGP TT setup, that sits nice and low and aft (CG).

It all depends on the intended use of the 1LE. NA motors are, IMO, best for HPDE, road course track time, CamaroCross type activities. You are traction limited to a max of 630 RWHP for these activities on anything remotely resembling a street legal tire. They are less complex and build less heat.

Exactly why I asked. Still new to the game and learning. Not doing anything crazy until I am more experienced with the car.
But it is fun to tinker with it and make small upgrades.
The prevailing opinion seems to be:
PTB, vitesse throttle controller, kooks LT, cam, tune. That should be plenty for awhile.
Then eventually a TT?

Thoughts/Opinions?

Can you do new headers and cam without tune to keep warranty? Or is it necessary to even run right?

When you alter the tune tune, most Chevrolet dealers will say your engine warranty is void.
