1969 is EASILY 10x as cool as the 2010 model.

Modern drivetrains and old musclecars are a great combination. Car shows are for dyno queens. Most of the Camaros I know like to go out and get exercised hard and frequently. After all I know I didn't build mine to just look good

I took this picture a couple of weeks ago after went on a 180 mile trip with my 69.

Good question. I love both. I also love to see pictures of the two side-by-side. Hope more people post. I am planning to have flammingbird (Michelle) and her husband take professional photos of mine. Will post when available.

No more crusty stuff for me...

1st car was a 69. Too far gone in 1987 to save. Moved on to a 68. Have owned and restored a few other old cars. Moved on to building a couple newer trucks and enjoyed it so much I swung away from all of the old stuff. As a body man and enthusiast I will always appreciate the old stuff for what it is but I got tired of chasing the demon I know all too well; it NEVER sleeps. RUST. I got a new Camaro and can keep it from going to pot with TLC that the old cars real guys can afford never got. I always said how lucky those SOB's were that were around when the 69's were rolling out. The new Camaro made ME that guy!

Thanks GM!

2010 for the daily driver. The 69 would be more of a weekend cruiser car... I mean, there is always something to work on with an old car.

That being said, yes the old school muscle car is going to be the cooler car.

Actually, I too had the choice between and old first gen and the new 2010. After looking at literally dozens of cars, I decided to get the new one. This is because... with the old cars, they are either junk and/or people want way too much for them. On top of that, I have neither the time nor the expertise to work on one to keep it in good condition. And, I feel because of this, I would probably regret getting the old car.

Someday I hope to own a 69.

Are you good at working on cars?

Well we have a 68' and 2010 and it's awesome having both and the're painting the same. So, it's very cool to cruise them togther. But, I've always loved Camaros.

That's like asking me which one of my kids is my favorite....

I love my 69s and I could never see myself selling my driver RS Z/28 .
I hope one day my son will be talking to kids in his driveway 40 years from now telling them how I bought the 2010 brand new and how we used to take it to Infineon on Wednesday nights to drag race when he was a kid....I hope for those kids 40 years from now the 2010 spawns the desire and demand for a 2050 Camaro just like it the first gen Camaro's created the demand for the 2010 ....

I say why choose.... I think everybody should have both
