AOL was notorious for doing the same thing back in the day.

I just renewed 5 months for $25. Told them to send me the bill. They will make you a good deal if you do a little dealing with them. But I agree, never give them your cc number.

Called to cancel, no problems getting through, they offered half-price, I bit.
But not really worth the money, get tired of stuff I have never heard. |

Listen to it non-stop in the work van and second car is half price so what the heck... Listen to Jason Ellis on 41 all the time. Have the on-star too and use the android app to upload turn by turn to it all the time instead of trying to follow peoples BS directions to there home or business.... All of this costs me less than my ex smoking habit so......

Except that people like satellite radio. They may have poor customer service but your options are Sirius-XM, or Sirius-XM when it comes to down to providers.

I hate XM, received like 7 phone calls over the course of two weeks after cancelling with them once my trial period was up. Spoke with 3 different reps telling them I didn't want their service and not to call again. For that experience alone I will never have XM again.

Wanna know how I deal with XM Radio, or anything else that gets you into that Auto Renewal thing?
I have a Master Card through Citibank, and Citibank allows you to make "Virtual" Credit Card numbers. So lets say your real credit card number is "1234", and you generate a virtual one and it randomly selects for you "5678" (all of this just an example of course). You can go online and buy something using "5678" and if someone tries to steal it and use it at a different web site, it won't work. How does this help you with XM Radio? Because you can also set the dollar amount and a time limit to your virtual number. When I made a virtual number to buy XM Radio for one year, I gave them one with an expiration date that expired 2 months after it was created. It worked fine to buy the service for a year, but won't work at all when they go to renew it. Instead they will have to contact me and I will give them another number that will expire long before the next renewal date, but will work for another year of service.

Mine expired back in Decemeber while my car was garaged for the winter. They would send me bills to try to renew it, then bills saying I was late with my payment. I never asked to renew, my car was in storage so obviously I wasn't using their service. I tried to email their customer service to cancel and they said I would have to call to cancel. I gave up on them until they had a debt collector call and harrass me. I WENT BALLISTIC!!! Needless to say they cleaned my record and I will never deal with them again!!

I am getting my Camaro next week. But I have had Sirius in my truck since stern moved to satellite radio. The music channels are very good especially octane hard rock. I now can't stand terrestrial radio.....one song and 3 minutes of commercials!
