That sounds like a bit of an exaggeration...

Give them more mods and of course they will win. But with similar mods, the SS will widen the gap. In fact, the 370Z has basically no aftermarket. Even on their forums they complain that their intakes don't make any power, their headers are super expensive and super difficult to install and offer insignificant gains, their cams cost like a thousand dollars, and so on. I'll give them credit, they are fast if you go from 0-1/4 mile. But they have nowhere near the overwhelming power and torque we have.
Their headers cost a lot because they're high quality unlike our "inferior" OBX counterparts.

Not if you go to their forums and look around. There are several stock 370z's that have ran 12's... so doesn't seem that out of the question.

By several, you mean 2, in negative DA. They aren't even cracking low 13s here fully bolted.

Are you on crack? I do mid 13's in DA of 1,000+ and I'm stock, my car weighs 400 lbs more then 370z and has 30 less hp and 1-2 less gears. They are solid 13.1-13.3 second car stock, if you saw a 6mt do 14's then they can't drive... all the auto's run that time but most auto 370z owners never track their car.

Here's a bone stock 350z manual on radials.

Bone stock on radials... kind of contradictory, isn't it? That's an HR which isn't much slower than a 370, correct?

I have been on their forums. If they're running high 12s stock then the SS is running mid 12s stock in the same conditions. Those cars are not impressive. And their performance numbers have been greatly inflated. For what they claim to be running in the quarter compared to what the SS claims...the SS sure does feel a hell of a lot more powerful in the drivers seat. I drove one of them after reading all the sooped up reports and I was underwhelmed. Not to mention that their mods have been shown to do nothing significant. Dude, they can't hang...

On radials it runs a 13.4 pretty much. Wow...I'm so impressed I don't know what to do with myself. Like I said, maybe 2 have run high 12s stock, and it was in -DA and one was Cecil Country Raceway where everything runs 4/10th faster than normal. GTFO with that G35/37/350z/370z BS already. Owned 2 of them, a G35 and a G37, and while decent for a luxury car and very nice for long distance driving, they are not on the same level as an SS of any variation when it comes to performance.

This was in 2500 DA at IFO(Import Faceoff), a 13.3 is more then decent for a stock 350z. That's faster then what any 5th gen Camaro SS I have seen the past 3 months run.

Then again I rarely see 5th gens run the 1/4 mile here... On an average night theres 10 or so 5.0's. The only SS last Friday ran a crap time and crashed because they floored it past the half mile marker.

Hell a few fellow members on here will attest. Even an auto ZL1 was doing 12.8-13.1 @ 111-112 mph tonight in 2800 DA. I would say driver mod but it was cutting decent 60 foots and my friend's srt8 did 13.5 @ 105 on motor and 13.1 @ 111 on a small shot of nitrous.

My friend even let me make 2 passes in his srt8 charger(intake/tune/cat delete) and I did 13.6 @ 105 mph and 13.8 @ 104 mph(first pass I had ever done in the car, wanted to play it safe).

That is to give you an idea of what cars run here in bad DA.

In 500 DA or so my friend did 13.1 @ 108 mph in his L99 with race fuel mixture, tune, intake, fuse pull mod. That is the fastest time I have ever seen from any 5th gen at the track and they have a bad rep here.

Dude, those drivers would probably run even worse times in those 350Zs you're praising. We're talking about the car, not the driver. And the examples you're giving all point to the driver as the problem, not the car.

13.3 on DRAG RADIALS. Show me all these 350zs and 370zs running high 12s stock, please. They are mid 13 second cars on average. I ran a 12.77@111 bone stock in 3400DA with stock 18" 235 series Pirelli all seasons and when I did that time there wasn't a single 350z that ran faster than a 13.8, and none of them were stock either.

The 350Z stock on average is a 14 second car. The fastest one may be capable of a high 13. But they are not as fast as this dude claims. The 370Z is faster, but they ain't faster than the SS. Maybe the Nismo can hang. But the rest are mid to high 13s.

Nice, so you were running what my friend's srt8 charger did on a 75 shot and what a ZL1 was running here last night. They both trapped 111-112...

Hell my friend's full bolt on GTO with CAI/IM/full exhaust/tune did 13.0 @ 108 mph, my other friends pullied and tuned 04 Cobra with 420 whp did 13.0 @ 109 mph, last one I should mention is my buddy in his 2013 5.0 6-speed manual with intake/exhaust and tune(dyno'd 394 whp at KC2k13) did 13.1 @ 110 mph. No way in hell a stock 5th gen is or has come anywhere near that time at thunder valley stock.
