I just installed my Katech module and love it. I think my THPSI system, with the current injectors, is good to the same power level your bucket supports, and since I'm running the OEM feed line, and I'm not close to 1000whp, that confirms I did okay.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around fueling....what does the Katech drop in solve? High side? My tuner here in TX mentioned i'd have to upgrade my high side to run any sort of E content with my car....sorry to derail lol

I believe the Katech Dual fuel pump and controller system is for the low side. But, since I'm adding port injection, it's a different requirement for fuel vs high side with out port injection. This systems also uses a return line to the tank. But, I could be 100% wrong on this too and I'm sure Mike can jump in on this question! Also, I was running E60 with no issues and my ZL1 was crazy strong. All I added was the Flex Fuel sensor and a JMS Fuel Booster for the low side! Then, I Kong X-ported my blower and that's when I started running out of fuel. Thus, new fuel system and port injection to solve the problem.

Yeah I think with my 2650 and the boost i'm at i'm right at the top of fueling unfortunately

You were able to run E60 on your current setup with the stock high pressure fuel pump and stock injectors? or before the X-port and 2.3" upper?

No... It was E60 with stock high pressure system but JMS Fuel Booster for low site with stock pully. This was prior to Kong X-port and 2.3 upper, and now it dropped me to E25, thus taking it Katech for THPSI and new fuel system etc.

Made the drop off at Katech today. Mike was out but Keenan helped me get the car "checked in". He gave us a full tour of the shop, all 4 building! Just seeing the machining and fabrication work they were doing alone. Was confirmation I made a great decision to have them finish the reset of the work on my ZL1. All the people we met were great and it couldn't have been a better experience! They'll get a baseline Dyno done first part of next week. Then I hope to pick the car up about two weeks after that!

Is their a such thing as signature envy?

When will we see dyno numbers?

What was Mike's prediction?

Baseline Dyno will be first part of next week. That's a procedural thing to make sure the car is right before they start working on it. But, with my fuel lowered to E20 since having my blower X-ported and running out on high side fuel at 5600rpm. I'm not sure I even want to see those numbers! Mike hopes around 775rwhp+ on straight E85. They will be removing the JMS Fuel Max Booster, the current Katech valve covers with coil relocation kit and the FI Chillers Blower Space Plates. So, a few less things that will be part of the overall mods in the mix! One thing, they've not done a build exactly like mine yet. Meaning, these mods on an engine 100% stock, no CAM and no heads etc. Mike will give progress updates once work starts he hopes no more than 2 weeks to complete. Then final tune and final dyno. Mike said he'd take some photos during the build!

Sorry I missed you Scott. I'm just now somewhat getting back on my feet after this damn flu or whatever it is.

I'm hoping we can make 775RWHP. Like Scott said we haven't done one with this exact combo without a cam so it will be interesting.

Our dyno isn't a record setter either. Stock LT4 cars typically make about 520RWHP for reference.

Every dyno shop is saying that these days to impress the customer when they pick it up..........kidding.....sort of.............can't wait to see the final numbers.

Following this thread and still learning, not trying to steal the thread. I went with the BTR cam (stg II) and a 38% fuel lobe tuned on 93 gas. We went with a conservative tune using Mustang tuning.

My question is this, would adding a cam to his build get him over 800 RWHP?

Mike can chime if he wants! But, Mike and I literally had this discussion yesterday and I have a quote in my hands and I'm still debating what to do. But, the most Mike feels adding a complete cam package including lifters, springs, push rods and all the other needed parts would get the car to 850rwhp. Thus, it would only add an additional 75rwhp more horsepower. So, I could be at 850rwhp, trap 140mph+ and be in the low 9 seconds in the 1/4 mile. But, at that point the stock LT4 blower is holding the power back. The CAM package install would only add an additional week to the build time, so that's not a big deal. But, the price is a bit steep and only getting an additional 75rwhp. At that point, I'm not sure I shouldn't just wait until this fall and do the rest of what's needed for a full Katech Stage 4 package that includes a Magnuson 2650. Then the LT4 blower is no longer the limiting factor. My ZL1 isn't my daily, it will also be turned for straight E85. I do make a point to drive it every day the weather is good! But, I'm hoping the actual rwhp is more than they are guesstimating!
