Spent inordinate amounts of time visiting other unsuspecting dealerships test driving their Camaro's.............. :-)

What wait? I didn't even know I wanted a 2010 Camaro until I happened by Appleway Chevrolet to see what my Cobalt could be used as trade-in on.
I saw Trigger sittin' there gleaming brilliant blue shafts of light at me in the summer sun, saw that silver trim, reminded me instantly of my long lost much loved 83 FXRS, my blue 69 el Camino, and my misspent youth. Bob the salesman saw all this and asked me "wanna test drive it?"
"Hell yeah" sez me.

It was love at first gear. Sat in the dealership 4 hours til the deal was hammered out, drove him home that night. Wow was my husband surprised when I showed up in a brand new Camaro!

I searched for a dealer with a loaded 2ss/rs black 6spi could not wait like you guys did. I would have liked the hurst shifter in my 2011 but I figured it was not enough to hold my purchase.

... order mine on 2/27 ... TPW 5/17 and took delivery on 6/3. How did I deal with the wait? ... like a kid waiting for Santa as Christmas approaches... in other words, not well !!

Well, technically I never ordered mine. I was in getting an oil change/inspection done on my truck while checking out the service department. Then started talking to a salesman. A few months later he called me and told me my Camaro would be in the next day.

Never did "order" it though. He said they put an order in for me, but if I ended up not buying it, the dealership wouldn't mind because then they'd have one in stock to sell. Of course, this was back when they were still kinda limited and not every dealership had some on hand.

to be honest i didnt talk about it i didnt think about it and forgot about it.

It is not AS bad once it is built...it is cool to follow it on CSX, but you can get really, REALLY pissed when it sits at one interchange for more than 24-48 hours...the process does speed up ten fold once it gets a rail though..

I'm waiting until July when I get a pay raise and pay down some credit (all wifeys parameters) so now 9 months to go. Find myself going crazy reading and re-reading internet about the car. I decided to go test drive one to "get my fix" and plan to hit other dealers around town for a drive each month until next summer. Its rough!

I ordered on the very first day, 10-13-2008 and I took delievery on 6-5-2009, there was alot of nail biting and I made alot of calls.

I just bit my lip and went about my daily life. I had only one dealer that would deal on GM employee pricing in the Puget Sound area. The saleman stated it would take 4-6 months for delivery. It was 4 months to the day for arrival at the dealer. Ten days later I was making the maiden voyage. The car was worth the wait. And the delivery experience was painless.

I ordered mine in october. this last few weeks seem to be going slow but this fourm is fun. I have been looking at sports cars seriously for three years. and its finally going to happen I can't hardly belive it.
