When this happens the used values drop like a rock just like they have for the past 3-years Chevy has had to offer the massive discounts.

Don't even offer discounts on the GT350R just sell it at MSRP and each and every one will sell very quickly. Offer up the ZL1 at MSRP and no one will even look at it. The market has already decided which car is worth the money and which isn't.

Need proof. What is a 2013 45k 1LE worth today maybe 28k at best. What is a 2013 45k Boss worth today 38k or more. Which car was the better investment.
Here is reality...

There are 607 GT350's for sale according to Autotrader, that nobody wants.

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...by+GT350&Log=0

There are 233 used GT350's that people have dumped in only 1.5 model years out of only 5000 made.

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...by+GT350&Log=0

There are only 372 ZL1's for sale according to Autotrader.

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...AM%7CZL1&Log=0

There are only 35 used ones in 10 months of the model year. Almost 8 times less then the GT350

We are talking about the GT350R here which autotrader says there are 36 for sale. So they are selling even with the added premium.

Yea BS. From what I've seen, the Boss 302s fetch low 30s with low miles on them. The SS 1LE fetches high 20s all day. They aren't as far off as you would like people to believe. But nice try anyway. But knowing how stupid Mustang owners are, I wouldn't be surprised if y'all are actually paying high 30s for a used car that you can buy for low 30s and is actually worth even less than that. Y'all are used to overpaying for crap anyway.

And if you think the ZL1 will need 20% discounts to move then you really are out of your mind. The ZL1 is the hottest car right now, it is the best all around car you can buy, and bang for the buck it is the best car you can get. It beats the GT350R on a circle track and the quarter mile, hangs with the Hellcat in a straight line and obliterates it on a circle track, hangs with the Z06 on a circle track and straight line, costs less than all 3 of those cars, and offers better options. And it does all that while being sold at MSRP despite the Hellcat and GT350R owners getting their asses ripped off.

And as far as investment potential is concerned, at least I can get a ZL1 at or even below MSRP. The GT350R is being sold with huge markups. So even if it retains more of it's MSRP value, you still tacked on an extra $5K, $10K, $15K and more to that price. So you'd still be losing money.

These dealerships are trying to sell the GT350 for over $70K (some over $90K) and the GT350R for over $100K...SMH.

Yes we are, so why do you bring up the Boss and the 1LE. They have nothing to do with the comparison.

How can it be the hottest car right now when prices have to fall below MSRP to move it? Even with the below MSRP pricing there are 372 for sale.

KBB Data. 13 Camaro with performance package 25,000 miles est value $20,185 - $23,272. 13 Boss 25,000 miles est value $30,140 - $33,267 yes they are close. LOL

See, you just contradicted yourself. You just quoted KBB what they said it is worth; but it is not what people might pay in the market place. The GT350 is worth MSRP, but Mustang dumbass' are willing to pay more for that shiny penny they found on the ground.

Camaro people are smart and know when to walk away.

I just went to a massive cars and coffee and spoke with a group of mustang guys gathered around the new ZL1. 3 of which were GT350 owners, and 1 GT350R owner (Car meet had over 2,000 cars). All of them admitted to paying big markups. All of them also admitted to really just wanting the Voodoo engine. And yeah, all GT350 owners just love to rev their cars LOL. I guess they really are in their own reality with those cars.

So, in your mind, restricting production to 500 units in order to create demand is a good thing? You will NEVER own one.

I prefer the they produce lots of them so they are treated like cars and get consumed. America = what we want, when we want it and lots of it.
