Ford is not afraid to copy the competition in features or especially styling (Explorer, Fusion, new Expedition, most Lincolns). They just have a better marketing. Now let's see Fords commercials showcasing GMs MRC technology. |

You would swear that GM is now run by a bunch of women, not true car guys.
They can't even do a simple effective ad like this on TV. |

The predators commercial is the best automotive commercial ever made. I love the Dodge marketing team. GM's "real people" commercials are the worst commercials on tv.

Does anyone know the current number of days supply for the Camaro? I've seen some old numbers, but nothing recent.

I never said it only matters they sell more retail. I fully understand Mustangs in total outsell and those sales are important. Everyone was saying why Mustang outsells Camaro and reasons for it. Everyone is talking about the consumer, you and me. Well, it turns out the public consumer is buying more Camaro's.

Chevy does ZERO to broadly market the Camaro to expand its customer base. Sure, they sponsor lots of local events for current owners, but nothing like they do for their bread and butter lineup of crossovers and suvs. Besides that commercial where it among various other models "pop up" out of the floor, there's nothing.

Flex lines are one way. More SUV's. 4-door sedan is dying fast and ugly. Don't mind excessive roll-over crashes... Maybe make the ats cts replacements look like SUV's? Also, the auto industry is going to get rough now. Incredible levels of pent-up demand from the 2008 recession-from-hell, are now mostly fulfilled. Quote:
Mustang? IDK j/k n/r Lots of rental car sales. Camaro is consistently beating Mustang and Challenger in retail sales.

Better would be getting overall Alpha volume up. Hopefully the coming product realignment and CT5, CT3 accomplishes that...with a fresh gen7 Camaro for 2021.

Mustang can afford to do more domestic fleet sales. Those sales and the over-seas retail sales keep the factories busy and the profit margins up.
Unfortunately with Camaro, and with Alpha in general, the numbers just never materialized. I think a combination of the high prices, packaging compromises and love it or hate it styling did it in. It's obvious from inventory levels that sales fell well short of expectations. I can't imagine profits are doing much better either. I just hope they find a way to make it to the next generation. These cars all need each other to be their best. |

LOL...GM is run by a woman now. I think GM has now become to Politically Correct. They are probably of the culture that they might offend someone with a bold in your face performance commercial. Sad...seems like the forgot that it performance that sells cars and drives people into showrooms. Yeh...a real car guy should be running GM. Not a PC figure head who just speaks to stockholders.
