Squeek and weird sounds!

We had a storm last night rain and wind. Woke up this morning beautiful weather. Car looks great. Cleaned it up and started driving. Heard some sound like stuff falling from the car I pulled over and everything seems good. I started driving again and it sounded like a metal hitting another metal. Most likely the rotors cuz I hear it only when driving.

When I pulled up to park the car. I put the car in reverse and drive again and a sound pops up like a metal piece popping.

Called onstar to try to get me connected with gm but they are closed on sundays same as service center.

What do you guys think?

Have you gotten underneath and looked? Is the sound coming from the front or rear?

Looked underneath from the sides. ( didn't lift the car up.) Didn't see anything. This sound is coming from the front end.

My wife's car did that a few years back, it ended up being one of the struts. Do you happen to live on a bumpy as hell road?

Not really but I did pass by some bumpy roads. But the struts will make the sounds all the time? I don't think that's it it doesn't sound like it.

It sounds more like 2 metals griding against each other. When the car is moving only

Me personally, I would put it on stands and take the front wheels off and check everything...put your hands on everything under the front half of the car, compare left side to right side, etc...

The way you say it i think it is from the wheels hitting something , the reason is when you stop there was no noise [i am assuming that the engine was running ] , as speed up the sound goes [appears ] to go away , so you should lift the car on the front and by hand make the wheel move and see what is hitting what , one wheel at the time .

There could be a piece of metal in the front end that blew under your car during the storm. Lift your car up and check everything......or take it to the dealer. Is it a popping noise, grinding noise, etc?

Grinding noise. But when I put it in reverse and drive again it sounds like a ball in a can popping

BloodUSMC, have you ever had your vehicle checked for the issue you are describing? Thank you.
