All of this stuff makes me NOT want to get the car. I had so many issues with my 4th gens and I have GM tons of slack because of the performance to $$ ratio. NOT ON THIS CAR!! With the prices and markups I want to be treated well when I walk in to the dealer, not like some schmuck. GM is getting close to loosing another customer.

The way I read the Magnussen Moss act (sp?) the dealer is burdened with proving that the mods caused the damage... Otherwise they can't "not" warrantee the car just because an aftermarket exhaust is installed. Where I live there are lots of folks buying these cars and the dealers have so far been pretty stand up. Thank goodness....

It got towed to the dealer (didnt want anything to break worse). I will hear more tommorow when service opens up.

We'll see what they say.
Update? VIN?

Sorry for the delay,
NOT my original dealer, but they repaired it under warranty no problem. Tech wrote it up as Improper Install from factory. The band clamp on the boot at the wheel hub had cut into the boot, causing the initial rip. Eventually ( I helped it along im sure with a few heavy launches) it tore and released all the grease. VIN 24667. They Replaced the entire axle assembly on the passenger side. 4 days had my car back. Cooper Chevy in Anniston AL, great guys!! Thanks Jeff!!
