I also recall a member here using a certain brush to upkeep the microfiber .

No toothbrush. Just get a nubuck brush and cleaner kit for < $10.

Go to just about any store that sells shoes & pick up a suede brush. Works like a charm.

Chemical Guys also makes a protectant that is spray applied. I have it but I have not used it yet. I plan on using it this weekend on the shifter, steering wheel, and seats after I clean everything with the Joseph A Banks brush.

Looking forward to the results! I've been wondering how the suede will hold up... One of the many things I've thought about while waiting!!

I took mine off and replaced with an EPCO custom ball shifter. It's so sexy and worth it. My original shifter is nice n' clean in a drawer somewhere. Prolly the drunk drawer in the kitchen.
