Keep in mind that you can park underneath overpasses while on the Interstate. When I pull into a motel I scope out the gas stations around the area and see if they have canopies to duck under if a storm comes up. I also just stop for food when storms are brewing ahead. Midwest storms come and go fairly quick as far as the life span of one. Pea size hail will not do damage if you don't drive in it usually. Dime and quarter size you want to seek cover. 99% of storms move West to East . Get out of the way of a East to west one! They tend to be real nasty.

Yeah we are supposed to have a good chance on Friday for tornados in OK.

Very funny stuff guys thanks. I cant respond individually im on my phone and too hard. 7:00pm just west of Tuscon OMG were getting pulled over!!!! My son is driving. Just an idea, maybe you can use moving blankets wrapped in a tarp, the moving blankets are kind of squishy and he tarp to keep them from getting wet.
