Love all this, I had mine installed and don't know where they tapped, but they respond with the fading of the dome light. Now I want to mount a blue led that comes on when the headlights come on. Is there a place to tap in the cabin? I'm not above bringing in a wire from the marker lights but would like to find the right wire inside.

dimmer install

can someone let me know how to do this install but with a dimmer? I want the aqua LED footwells and the aqua dome light to come on when the doors open and go off when they close and I also want to be able to dim the lights low when I drive so they won't bother me, by being to bright and have an off switch if I want. Any ideas? If so please try to be specific because i'm super green with wire lingo and installs

If they are connected to the dome light circuit (on with doors open), they will be off when driving.

Where did you ground for the rear footwells? or did you just run another ground wire up to the ground bolt in the front footwells?

I just drilled a hole right in the middle where the carpet ends and put a metal screw in there and grounded off of that. i ran a hot wire t-tapped of the dome circut the lenght of the console so front and reasr brighten and dim with the dome ,but it to is located in the center of the car so everything is right there.

Dual Powered Led Footwell Lights

www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWG_Uxll5lY

I saw this video on youtube. this guy didn't provide any details on how to install the dimmer to the led lights and also the dome light. Does anyone know how to do that? What would I have to do besides the instructions in this thread? Also, I'm thinking about getting the Advanced Automotive Concepts LED Aqua lighting kit for the footwells and am wondering what size Ttap I need. Any ideas on the guage of these wires? What else do I need for this job? I'm new to wiring/car mods but this doesn't seem that hard. So far, I need the AAC light kit, t tap, dimmer switch...anything else I need for this install?
