Taillight Bezel Delete. Anythin i should know b4 removal?

Hey C5, i dont like having chrome on my car, and i am not much of a painter, if i removed the taillight bezels, will anythin bad come of it? I mean like will the taillight fall off or will water get into where the bezel should be and mess up my lights or anything like that? Oh btw if nothin bad will happen, i will be removing them within the hour so i really need some help with this. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

You should just get the black tail light bezels, they are not expensive and they look good.

They are simple to paint, took me about 15-20 minutes to remove and spray them. Cost about 8 dollars. Check the DIY section.

As far as anything bad, it looks like garbage if you just take them off.

In a word No.

My taillight bezels have been off for 2+ years.

I went for the body color paint as I didnt care for the chrome either.

You could stop at a sign shop and get some metallic silver vinyl and just do a wrap on them too. (Its a very close match to SIM...I used it on the side markers and reverse lights)

Nothing bad, but you might not like the gap it leaves. I filled my gaps with some black flexible door edge guard - just wedged it in there.
