3.73 or 4.10 Torn

Hey guys,

Im looking into getting GForces 4" driveshaft kit and they give you the option of gears. I really dont know if I would like to have the 3.73s or 4.10s. My goal is to keep the car streetable on the highway but still be able to get out of the hole at the track. I was curious if somebody would be able to show a difference between the two at the track if possible? Anything will help. Thanks guys.

Meet in the middle with the 3.91. I'll be having them installed the middle of November and can give you some feedback then if you can wait that long.

Good idea. It will be awhile before I get it. working on this stroker kit. Just trying to get a head start on things. Thank you for your quick response.

Agreed to the above, well kinda..
I have 3.91s now and have plenty of issues keeping it from spining like crazy on nitto invos and putting down about 420whp/410. If/when i'm over 500 or 600hp i'll probably step it back down to something near 3.70. Keeping in mind right now this in my daily driver if it was a dedicated 'fun' car then I would leave the 3.91s or in your case do 4.10/4.33s... Hopefully that helps a little.

I will keep that in mind. I'm making around 650whp now on Nittos NT555R and on the street they never hook up unless its hot outside. I'm kind of feeling like I'm leaning more towards 3.73s. I know that it will be a track car next year but have a lot of specs to complete on this thing first.

4.11 is a really good gear in the M6 cars. 3.91 is also a good option.

While your in there, do the bushings and Eaton TT or the 'Jannetty special'

Look for some User sigs or #7 Fast list (your strokin) track guys with similar mods- find out from their logs where the rpm/gear is when they cross the line using x differential (or change your tranny).

Nice build.

'Agreed. At 650 rwhp, 4.10s would likely be overkill. It's almost overkill, even at 550 (ask me how I know ).

I believe bushing come with the kit.
I will take a gander at some of those builds. Thank you for the info. This build has come a long way for me. So this is dream that I'm finally getting to live. I did forget to mention that I will running hopefully a smaller tire in the back just unsure on tire sizes that will fit. Those will only be for track use.

In that case the shorter tire is like having a higher ratio gear. A good compromise to make.

Looking at the high power guys times is a good idea too since you really don't want to have to shift into 5th except in a 1/2 mile run
