Just read the whole thread. I can leave PG Sat am and be in Kamloops at noon. Are we going all the way to revy on Sat and coming home on Sunday? If there are any rooms left, I will see if the wife or one of my daughters want to come...if not I am willing to bunk up with someone.
43, male, wife says I snore if I have been drinking...I disagree...lol....I snore all the time !!! What is the route from Kamloops to Revy? I have friends in Vernon, Armstrong and Kelowna, just in case I come down on Friday for the nite.

Not sure exactley sure what time the coast group will be in Kamloops, but I don't think noon is going to cut it. You might want to book a room, the phone number to the hotel is listed in this thread.

If the plan is to be in 3 Valley Gap @ 3pm then departure from Kamloops should be 1 PM.

Other than the vacant lot in Salmon Arm there are not a lot of Rest Stops between Kamloops and 3 VG that will hold 10 or 12 cars. The decent one at Chase hill HAS BEEN CLOSED. Much of the highway remains two lane until past Sicamous.

Here are the numbers from Google maps. I would suggest they would be pretty close considering, potty breaks, summer road construction, photo op's and such.

Abbotsford to Kamloops= 286 km 3 hours 15 minutes

Kamloops to Salmon Arm= 109 km 1 hour 26 minutes

Salmon Arm to Revelstoke 103 km 1 hour 21 minutes.

I would like to get the group rolling out of Abbotsford by 7am with the 1st stop in Chilliwack and that should put us in Kamloops shortly before 11am. So I would want to get the convoy rolling out of Kamloops by high noon.

Midway between Salmon Arm and Revelstoke is Craigellachie. It is a stop of interest as it was the location for the " Last Spike " monument for CP rail. There is a paved parking lot there used by buses for tour stops.

Three Valley Gap is 22 KM west of Revelstoke.

Sounds like a great place to stop fo photo op's. Yes I know 3 V G is a bit west of Revelstoke, it was just easy to Google map it that way. I will still have the Abby group rolling towards Chilliwack shortly after 7am and still want to get the show on the road by noon, so we have lot's of time to enjoy the drive and scenery. We might get to 3 V G a bit early, but there is stuff to see and do there while we wait for the Alberta group to arrive. Besides next years Meet & Greet may well be at 3 V G.

Unless there is a major out cry from the group let's stick with that schedule.

Merc will set up the Abbotsford departure and route to Kamloops. We are meeting at the Costco gas station along the rear wall. ( There is some shade there and CAMARO only parking) Those who want a quick lunch can use food stand and washrooms inside or across the street is a Chevron Triple OOO. Lots of other choices within the 2 blocks where we re enter Hwy #1 to Salmon Arm. 35 minutes to Chase, another 35 to Salmon Arm and another 35 to Three Valley Gap if there are no stops on the way.

5A is a superhighway. Divided 4 lane, 100kph limit.

Did a drive by of the old dealership lot yesterday. Fenced off with No trespassing signs. That's a no go for a stop.

How many cars do we have coming through Salmon Arm anyways?
