Make A Wish Charity Show 2015

Hi Everyone,

I have started to do some preliminary work on this, I have spoken with the city of St Albert and there are a couple of locations we could use. They will be able to handle a large group of cars. The early thought is to have it on Sunday September 20th, but that is the Terry Fox Run, so maybe Saturday the 19th might be better. Again I would like to invite as many car clubs as we can to get the biggest amount of cars as possible. I had thought we might be able to invite food trucks as well, or hold a BBQ to generate more dollars. The goal for this year is 10 Thousand, this amount raises enough funds for 1 child’s wish. With enough media coverage I think we should be able to get enough support for us to raise the money. We had talked about calling “Nathanial & Logan’s Hot Rod show for Make a Wish” because it was Nathanial’s original request that got the ball rolling. I was thinking possibly we could use the name of a child looking for a wish. Something like “John Smith’s Make a Wish Car Show to Make My Wish Come True” or something like that. Please let me know any thoughts/ideas you have.

I think that's a great idea!! (Pick a child and name the event after them.) Awesome idea, we're in for sure. Just let us know when and LOTSAFN will be there.

i think you should keep it named after Nathaniel and Logan. Because the event is subject to weather, and other issues, which could cause lower than expected funds being raised, I'd rather not get a specifically named child's hopes up to potentially be disappointed. If we keep it as Nathanials event for make a wish, someone will still be helped! Just my random thoughts...

Ok so we have a date, Saturday Sept 19th, time 11AM-4PM, and we have a location now, The Enjoy Center in St Albert. Just working on a few more details as far as allowed car count and some other surprises.

Hi everyone, we are about a month away, we have locked down most of the major details. The event is Sept 19th, 11-4, we have room for 200 cars. There is a minimum $15 donation to enter, it will be first in gets a spot. We will start accepting cars at 10:30 am. We have a large silent auction with all proceeds going to the foundation. I know my Camaro family will step up big for this show. If you are in the area please come out to support the kids, if you cant be here and want to help please email me at kellylauder@shaw.ca we are accepting anything for the silent auction as well as any cash donations. I really want us to hit that $10,000 mark to help a child.
