BMR 1.4 Spring Question. Will they fit on V6 Model?
I ordered a set of BMR 1.4 inch springs late last night about 1 a.m.
It wasn't until just now I saw the small print on the BMR website that said V8 only and no convertibles. I am going to try and contact them in a few hours and hope they can cancel the order, unless the springs will still work on the V6. Wasn't sure if anyone has run ss springs on an Rs before. Just thought I'd ask first! Thanks in advance! |

Shoot the BMR guys a PM. They are usually pretty quick to get back to you.

Put V8 struts on your V6.

Lowering springs fit better on the V8 struts.

We have had people use our V8 springs on their V6 cars with no issues whatsoever but there were some that did have problems so we can't recommend them. The V6 has a slightly longer front strut and rear shock so they require a spring with more free height to make sure they don't come off the seats when the shock is fully extended. One of the latest popular trends seems to be using the SS shocks on the V6 cars. There are a lot of take-offs for sale, making this a very popular mod lately. In these cases you could use our springs but otherwise I would not recommend it until we come out with our V6-specific part number.

The best solution we've found is to go with the SS Struts on the V6 applications. We've even found some of the SS struts to be longer however...
