Dim Headlight Plugin Solution -- 2012 2SS stock headlights

I read that the reflectors in these original headlights dull after time. I have to pull the bumper cover soon for repairs the tabs on the passenger side so need to consider a headlight change. My headlights are not bright enough so I am wondering what the options, if any, are for changing out the headlights without rewiring or cutting (modifying mounts). Am I just stuck with replacing the originals with original style aftermarket (read like 1A auto type)? Are there other plug and play options?

Thanks...

dont know if this will answer your question but if the bulbs are HID they get weak over time then burn out.i thought my night vision was going to hell but replacing with stock (osram) bulbs seems to have helped.the drivers side bulb had already burned out in my 2015 RS.

Thanks, don't know what bulbs are in it but will try replacing them first instead of replacing the whole headlight assemblies.
