Are long tube headers definitely worth the money?

I told myself last month that I'd be done with modding after getting my hood painted. As expected, that feeling disappeared quickly, as I'm now strongly considering purchasing long tube headers tonight for my SS. However, I just want to ask you guys if you think they're worth the money, as I'm always a bit hesitant to make a big purchase so quickly, as they're about $800 in total.

So, do you guys think the headers are worth the money? I've got the Borla Atak mufflers, and I want to make my car louder, a la headers.

I appreciate all input here,

Thanks!

If I do decide to get them, I'm going with Stainless Power!

They offer serious performance gains. Power you can feel like from 30-35 rwhp with a proper tune. As for sound.....You can't get serious volume with the stock cats and manifolds. A set of Stainless Power headers won't even set you back all that much. Especially when you order them from us.

Listen to all the videos although most of the sound is muffled listening to them in person is completely different. It will make the car loud on WOT but still have a quiet cabin when cruising. The extra HP with a dyno tune is defenitly worth the money the question could you handle it.

Pretty big performance gains to be had. My husband put them on in the driveway.

I have to disagree, with this statement. I love the volume and sound of my car with the dual mode exhaust. It's quite loud.

OP definitely worth it.

I did the stainless power LT's last month and it really opened up the car . Get a tune with it and you'll think you have a brand new car

Are they worth the MONEY? Absolutely. They are worth the MONEY based on sound alone, even if they didn't add a single hp. The horsepower gains are just a bonus.

I don't have them because they aren't worth my WARRANTY. That's why I went with Solo HFC's. If you do not care about the warranty, get them ASAP. You won't regret it.

I have to disagree with you. With muffler deletes it sure was loud....then I put on longtube headers. The definition of loud quickly changed
