some info i heard today
Hi my name is AJ this is my first post but I have been following this site everyday for the last 12 months. so i just wanted to introduce myself first and foremost. Just wanted to let you guys Know i heard some news today while i was at work. i have alot of higher up gm employees as my clients. i FINALLY squeezed some info today.
i didnt get much out of him, BUT he did tell me that the top model WILL be the Z28 and that it WILL have "the engine from the new CTS-V" he had told me previously about the battery in the trunk and whatnot so im pretty sure he knows his stuff. I asked about the base V8 and just smiled and told me NOTHING lol. he said however that we will NOT be dissapointed. On another note (and take this with a grain of salt) a co-worker and fellow camaro follower came to work so excited that he saw "an orange 5th gen with black stripes" in the Flint mi area. however i have not seen that. But have seen a white "mule" in the area. sorry about the wall of text. and if this means nothing to you then disregard this post. Cant WAIT for my 5th gen! and hello to All |

Welcome sir.
Glad to have you aboard. About your info though. You will have a lot of people seeing the "will" and jump all over it so be prepared for some flames/immature conversation in this thread. I'm happy that I won't be disappointed even if I'm forced to buy the base V8 (hopefully not though). |

The first things about the Z28 go right along of what we've heard from other people. Thanks for sharing and again, welcome to camaro5.

Welcome!
There is mounting evidence that the top Camaro will be the Z28. I am now hoping that that is GM planting false information. I don't think its likely.

I wish I could find that little birdie and squeeze every little bit of information from his little bird head, lol. Everyone has a good guess or inside information, and you know at least one of us will be right! And that leaves a lot of misinformed people, probably me included. I have said my prayers every night asking the Camaro gods for a S/C motor, or at least and aftermarket kit covered under their warranty, now I just have to wait and see. And I do like the Z28 being the top dog, as it once was, as now it should be.

^^ditto congoman..still hoping for the SS as topdog and the Z28 as base but we'll see i guess, just a nitpicky thing which shouldnt be a deal breaker for anyone anyway..

Welcome to the board.Hope you are right. I don't really care which is the top model, but I've always like the looks of the first gen Z28 better.
