It was Rangers Tire Paint. Looked sweet why it lasted. But 6 hrs of work and one trip to work later it came off. Pissed me off.
Thank you Kurt Robinson Aero Sport Concepts

Today I had a small disaster on my hand and came close to losing the engine. Thank god SCAR1LET survived.
It started earlier this week as I prepped her for the Track on Sunday. Went to give her fresh oil before we head out and as I go to remove the oil filter and can't even move it. The dealers tech put on the filter so tight I had to hammer the end of the filter flat so I could hammer my oil filter socket on. Did I mention I had to use a breaker bar to twist it off. Ya. Took every bit of my strength to turn the thing off. So after 40 mins of struggling I finally get it and put the new stuff in. Okay step one, Oil Changed. Step 2 bleed all the brakes with new Motul 600. No problem, ooo wait a minute minor fluid leak from the Motive Bleeder but not to huge of a deal. Okay on to step 3. New Brake Pads. Went with Hawk 5.0 all four corners. This was the easiest thing I did all week. Now the the big one step 4 , install the New Aero Sport Concepts Rear Difusser Extension Kit. What a bitch. Looks great, solid as a rock but hardest part I've installed so far in our product line. Took approx 2.5 hours to install, on top of approx 20 hrs of mock up and fabrication. Finally I good washing this morning and we're done. So we're all set for the Track tomorrow but want to go hit the road for a shake down and make sure all is good. Well didn't get more than a mile away from home and all of a sudden as I pull up to a light and it all goes to hell. Smoke everywhere the engine starts screaming at me and I freak out. Shut her down right in the middle of the road and put the flashers on. Sitting there stunned not sure what the hell just happen all I can think of is that Fu**in Oil Filter and how stupid the tech put the thing on. Called the wife, bring the jack I think I just screwed the pooch. She shows up ten minutes later and sure enough the oil is dumping from the filter. WTF man. So I grab the gloves twist it off to make sure its on or if the dickhead tech screwed the threads up some how. Nope threads are fine but from him putting it on so tight it made the rubber seal stick to the block and I didn't notice it stuck. So when I installed the new filter it had 2 Rubber seals and the oil blew right between the two. Run and go get more oil and dump another $60 on the oil change. Get back put oil in and start her up. And she's fine. Got real lucky. Oil everywhere but lucky no damage. Want to thank I believe it was Robert that stop in a Z06 to make sure I was okay. Found out he lives by me and owns a 1LE also. Looks like he might be a new customer too so not all went bad today. Anyways that was my drama this morning. Here is a pic of the Rear Difusser Extension Kit. I'll post info up later this week once I get back from Autoclub tomorrow. Thank you Kurt Robinson Aero Sport Concepts

Autoclub went pretty good today. Bested my lap times by over a second and was able to put in a 1:55.5 and a 1:55.6 in session 2. Thats were it all ended. After lunch went to get gas and noticed a CEL on the dash. Checked my OBD and came back to a bad O2 sensor. Talked to a buddy over in the Autocross event that's a GM mechanic and he said to be safe quit why i was ahead and don't risk screwing something up.
O well we had a Great Half day anyways. Here's a Video of Session 2 https://youtu.be/6IfqIWimm3E

So it begins. SCAR1LET is getting head to toe detail and some minor Mods before she heads out to the Optima Street Car Challenge at Autoclub Speedway on Oct 10th-11th.
Trans and Diff Fluid changes the next couple nights and New Hood Wrap this coming weekend. We got a SoCal Camaro group pretty much taking over the joint with almost a dozen of us locals. We plan on showing them SoCal is No Joke. Anyone looking for a great event to watch, this is the one. And if you come by my Pit and say Hi to SCAR1LET you can enter to Win a FREE Wicker Extension Kit from Aero Sport Concepts.
