Chris......with gretchen joining in on the V6 crowd, we may have to do the V6 as a bracket race. He is the only turbo signed up for the V6 and the other NAs wouldn't have a prayer against him in a heads up.

Didn't think about that...was just thinking it would be fun to have an all V6 class. If we get a sponser for this class, then let's just drop me off it so I don't take a prize from one of the NA guys.

You will need a helmet, but you may be able to borrow one there. You have to be at least 16 yrs old on most tracks if you aren't in the Jr. Dragster division, but I don't know if this applies to this event.

I don't think you need to drop, jump in the bracket classes, I think you can def go up against good competition there.

Unless more FI v6ers join in, than it would be even competition for you.

I'm already in the unlimited class, so I'm not too worried about not being able to race. As slow as the bracket is filling up, they may have to combine that with the V6 class and just do 2-3 brackets.

I never understood bracket racing. I would think you would always try to beat your last time. I see the consistancy factor, but isn't the goal ~ faster?

I'm not a fan of it... running like a demon for 1250 feet and then lifting so you don't break out isn't my thing... but some people love it... It's all about consistency, and in this day and age of computer control... there are cars that can cut XX.0XX times run after run after run...

Virtually impossible in a manual car... so, I prefer heads up HP...

This is just my personal opinion...

Mine too

I watched them lift (and brake which is a no-no) at Pony Wars last fall. Couldn't figure it out and Bruce explained it to me.

I'm not a huge fan of bracket racing either; but it's all they do around here so to race my girl, I gotta BR. Guess you get used to it.
