Any feel they should of ordered Zl1 instead of 1LE?

Walked into a dealership yesterday and saw a Zl1 up close and the car is awesome looks like a complete race car! Made me second guess myself on ordering my 1le! The car is about $17,000 more than my 1le i ordered, but Thats a lot of car for the money!

No, I couldn't bought a ZL1 if I wanted one, like the 1LE options and if I really was going to consider a ZL1, would rather have a ZR1 Corvette...

You could always add some exterior ZL1 stuff like side rockers and trunk spoiler and call it a day.

Add a whipple and have more power than a ZL1 and still have $10,000 in your pocket.

I thought about a ZL1 for a while. Even after I saw the price, I tried to think of ways I could swing paying for that. Granted, I did think of a few ways that I could manage it...it would basically require me to not buy anything else for a few years . The ZL1 is an awesome car, and I would absolutely love to have one, I can't justify the price for one.

Having said that however, I feel that the 1LE is the best bargain Camaro available and the best Camaro for me personally. You really can't beat the performance upgrades you get for only $3500. So I'm more than happy with a 1LE and have no regrets about not being able to afford a ZL1

According to my wife, paying 41K for a 1le is alot considering you cant see out of the car , never mind paying 60K for a Zl1. And i told her thats the price you have to pay for a cool looking car.

No regret here, even though i'm going to be waiting a long time for my 1LE to get to the island :( I'm curious about the ZL1 suspension, and i like looks of the front end better, but the 1LE is, imo, an awesome package for the money. And there's no way i could realistically afford the ZL1, lol

Just remember, once you increase the GO (power), you have to increase the WHOA! (suspension/brakes), which accounts to more dough ($$$). 1LE is probably one of the best or THE best bargain money can buy for a fast yet handling factory daily driven race car.

No one should ever regret a purchase of any car...if it's the car that you really want.

haha, for sure...i've wanted a C5 since i saw the concept, but kept myself from even test driving until a couple months ago, because i knew i would buy. i don't make so much money that i'd buy anything other than exactly what i want, and i'm sure the 1LE fits the bill just wish i had a TPW by now lol

The value performance car is definitely the 1LE. I was going to wait and buy a used ZL1 in a couple years, but I believe I will be happier with the 1LE, especially as a track car. I plan to make up some of the HP deficit anyway. I am as sure as I can be without having driven one that the 1LE is the right Camaro for me.

LE1 looks like it is going to be a great package. My curiosity is for those that are going to daily drive the car how comfortable will it be? I will be very interested to hear the feedback on that. I assume many of you will be DDing your LE1.

One reason I bought the ZL1 is that the ride can be set to soft for commuting and hard for handling with the push of a button. (Mine car is my DD) With it my ZL1 rides better than my SS did. That was something that shocked me..... Interesting fact I test drove a 5.0 Stang and IMOA it was far rougher ride than my SS.

Either way LE1s are going to be cool cars and I cannot wait to see them as you guys (or gals) get them.

Hard to imagine one way or the other without owning one. However, all they hype indicates the 1LE is going to be a stormer. Wish they had bumped the HP by another 20 or 30 HP, but it's going to be one sick car.

I went after a zl1 first but then, from experience, ran some track cost numbers. It didnt make sense to spend $20+ k for me for a zl1 and have higher brake, tire (that torque and weight kills them faster) and engine service costs. The 1le is great.
