Forged Internals

Sorry if this has been beat to death. But does anyone know of a company that sells forged internals for the LS3? I want to build up before I add boost.

Thanks

Many different brands of forged internals for LS engines. Doing the work yourself or looking for a performance shop to do the engine work?

What boost psi and hp levels are you shooting for?

Another thing to consider is the Stock LS3 is pretty stout, can handle low boost without a problem. Get into high boost, and sure it will need many internal upgrades.... but so will everything behind the flywheel - clutch, trans, driveshaft, diff, axles... plus fuel system, cooling system...

What HP levels are you shooting for? The stock LS3 can handle quite a bit of power.

If your looking to boost you might as well do it correctly. Get a forged piston and rod in there and drop the compression a bit for pump gas. Gap the bearings and rings correctly

I have always believed in building a good foundation. I've read about people just throwing boost on their cars and nothing else and then blowing them up. What all is forgedin the LS3? I want to have forged crank, connecting rods and pistons. And yes, I do want to lower the compression ratio. I just don't know where to look. I'm not serious about buying now, but I want to start getting a build sheet ready.

I'm only looking for about 500-550 rwhp, and I know that can be done rather easily with boost, but I would like to see what I can do with forged stuff, a cam and a tune. I want to build it right.

Thanks for all the help

Give us a call & we can discuss options & configurations. We have tons of different options & have without a doubt & have a amazing new machine shop here dedicated to only LS! We can help you with a new rotating assembly balanced with our brand new CWT Balancer, or even put together a short-block exchange program so we can get you a fully cnc configured short-block! I don't believe there's anyone else on Camaro5 with the CNC block machining capabilities that we now offer.
