Did you remove the fill plug and dipstick while you were draining it?

Once the drain is open, you can blow lightly through the fill location and all the oil wiill come out, then add the 4oz bottle and you are good to go.

Unless hot, I never get the full oil change out of any of the V3 blowers, doesn't matter what kit. If its hot, most of it should come out. You have a dipstick on that lower allen plug, make sure that the oil is in the hashmarks. If you overfill it by accident all you'll see if a bit come out of the vent plug on your next drive, and you can wipe that off real quick.

I had about 3oz drain out. I then took a plastic straw and fit it into the dip stick fitting. I blew into the straw and about another 1/2oz came out. E-mailed Vortec and they basicly said as long as you are getting at least the 3oz out and re-filling to the proper level, that is good.

One bit more- as Matt@FSP mentioned, the plug that sits higher is a vent and has a brass seat.

Don't overtighten that plug when you replace it as it may close the vent and prevent it from performing its job.

Sorry, we're referring to a V-3 Vortech centrifugal supercharger. You've got something altogether different and need to check the ZL1 sites.

Good luck.
