And this just lost GM a bunch of sales.. Definitely steering away from the 2 level trims. It just looks..tacky now. Half assed at best. I'm disappointed, GM. Very disappointed.

Who knows, maybe even an LS7 version might be available or some other 500hp+ variant.
So what is your ever growing list? Just curious.

Also, how many people have actually seen ABL in person? I guess I mean who actually knows what doors only looks like relative to doors and I/P. I haven't seen it and I've seen an awful lot of Camaros. So even I won't know the difference. Will only be able to imagine it.

So are we EVER going to know why it's not across the dash being GM is obviously capable of it?

Notice that It is lower on the dash than the Camaro's was supposed to be, it is below the trim strip and that trim strip is actually lower than the caaros dash strip too... So my theory on the heat at the top of the dash still may be what the problem was

All they really have to do is round off the point where the door panel would have hit the dash and it wouldn't look so bad.

Hopefully they'll have a fully operational production Camaro in Cleveland for those people showing up for the invitation only event (there is one in Cleveland...right?). If so, pics please.

Has any one actually said this was going to light up while the car was in motion (drive)????

I note all of this speculation and worry started AFTER the news about the change from the bankrupt dash supplier. This may be a lot more related to practical problems with a replacement supplier than "technical or chemistry with heat..

There is still lots of leather in the world so you can cover over the door inserts if you don't like it.

Just my .02

I am going to laugh so hard if the interior looks just like concept, but only doors light up. Oh man, that's going to irk me and I'll always feel like I'll have to explain it to everyone who sits in my car..."notice the doors light up, but the light stops when it reaches dash?...no not really....oh well GM f'd up, it was supposed to go all around.....oh, i wouldn't have noticed until you told me.....yeah I know that's my OCD kicking in"

ABL - not what we rightly or wrongly thought we were going to be getting
Stripe package - hood thing and limited factory install colors
Hurst Shifter - may not be available as an LPO or RPO
GFX - not body color matching
HUD -not available in the first production year if at all
Prices for GM accessories are out to lunch.

I know that most of these things can be addressed by after market add ons or some other after market process such as painting, etc. For the average guy/gal buying this as his/her daily driver it doesn't matter, he/she will drive it for a few years and sell it to upgrade and there is nothing wrong with that. I am buying this as a keeper/collector and it probably won't see more 2000 miles a year. It may never be worth anymore than what I pay for it the day it is new, but one thing is for certain, painting and modding kills its collector value. Watch Barrett & Jackson and see the difference between what an all original 67 Camaro fetches price wise and one that is not.

The new Camaro is a great car, but if the 2011 model comes with all the bells and whistles, this could hurt the collector value of the 2010, making it less desirable.
