CAR FINALLY ARRIVED - DEALER ASKING FOR A DAY OR TWO?

Gents,

My dealer called about 15 minutes ago and stated my car is finally here. We talked for a few minutes and I let him know I would be there later this evening to pick it up. All was well.

He then called back about 5 minutes later and said I should hold off for a day or two so they could perform the Recall and also because they had a "line" of PDI's to perform. Once I told him the Recall should only take a few minutes, he then stated, "well, we would like to put it on the showroom floor for a day or two so other interested customers can actually see an SS".

What are your thoughts?

Dealer has been great so far; what should I do?

F*ck them Rally...Go get your car. For one you been waiting long enough and two they tried to hit you with a stroke move to keep YOUR car for their dealership's interest. So I say you go get your car, tell them it was nice doing business and to use the next delivered car for the showroom car.

The only way I would let them keep my car is if they take some money off the MSRP.

are you paying MSRP?? Make a deal with him, Tell him he can keep it on the showroom for a few days but you want something out of it. A couple hundred off MSRP or something..

That's what i would do, otherwise i'd be going to pick up my car.

If this is a dealer that you have a good history with and they have delt you fairly then maybe you could give them 2 days. I'd do it if mine asked.

You have been waiting this long, so go pick your car up! I couldn't stand it if somebody were to crawl over the interior of my car before I could even have the chance to drive it.

If you do decide to leave it, make sure it stays locked and also that they detail your car to get any fingerprints off of it.
