just have a couple of questions I am also installing the reverse camera with it where do u hook up the red and black wire in the back and also is there anyway to unlock the video feature and the text while driving

Black to ground, Red to drivers side taillight reverse trigger. I believe it is a green wire.

If your buying from Gen5 the in motion feature will be disabled but there is no video? It just allows you to enter nav destinations on the fly or phone numbers.

My in motion feature is still there have everything hooked up already except the reverse camera and I know the in motion isn't disable because when I get a text message I can only listen while driving have any steps about the camera

Big shout out to Ofer and Jarod for hooking me up on this mod. Got the MyLink kit and it was very well packaged and everything I ordered and needed was there. The faceplate and touch screen came from vendor direct and everything was all good!
I knew I couldn't do this install myself so the president of Indy NexGen Camaro Club did it for me, for a small fee. When I got the car back, everything was perfect! Love the MyLink which I had been envious of every since I saw it. I have the navi, backup camera and this is exactly want I wanted in a system for my car. Still have that OEM look and feel but all the other things I wanted in creature comforts. I also did a complete upgrade with the speakers since the car was torn apart and added an Alpine amp, Sub Thump and Polk speakers. Love what I have going on now in my 2011 2SSRS.

If anyone is on the fence with this, I suggest you do it. Yea someone in our club said it would be easier getting a 2015 but since my car has the look I want, cammed this past April, and now a decent sound system with MyLink, why go into debt for a newer car with the MyLink. I have everything I need to live the dream now.

It looks like I am a hundred years late to this party, but when I was reading this thread last night, I was very excited to get this. I have a 10 LS and would like to know if this is the thing you guys built? http://www.gen5diy.com/2010-Navigation-MyLink-Kit/

It has a door lock addition. Is it worth it? Where is it relocated and how? I am not interested at all in the rear view camaro as I always walk around my car before I leave and I am tall enough to see my blind spots easy anyway.

This is what I got from Ofer but I got the kit for a Boston Acoustic system and I added Navigation. I added the door lock cable and its tucked away behind the system and when I decide on a switch, it'll be an easy mount to location and connect the wires.

I bought one off a friend and we are installing it and the screen says locked, anyone know how to unlock it?

It has to be unlocked to the vin of your car... Contact gen5diy they will do it for you

Not only does it need to be unlocked it needs vehicle specific custom retrofit programming. Contact gen 5 diy to get that going!

HERE IS A CRAZY QUESTION, can i put the older 2010-12 radio in my 2013 lt camaro fit/and pug in ? im old school and had a 2010 traded for a 2013 just like the older radio better ,i know thats odd lol
