I wasn't planning on buying Sim City for this reason, just like I passed on Diablo III. I shouldn't have to be online to play a game like Sim City. It should be an option, or local w/ sync like you suggested. But I hate that I have to rely on always having an internet connection, and then rely on their servers being up to play it.

I'd love to pick this up, but I have a real crappy lap top and it barely could handle spore.

So now that everything is fixed is this game a good buy? The last sim city I played was sim city 2000 lol

2000 was the best imo. If this one is anything like 2000 id consider purchasing it. Havent seen enough game play on it to decide.
