!!HELP!! Ithink this might be wrong

I installed a set of V6 Eiebach springs. Theses pictures are of the top of the strut towers as u can see I have a considerable gap. It doesn't move underload (driving) or make any noises but it just don't look right. Any one have any thoughts?

The strut mounts articulate and require the space to do so. The next question is have you timed your bushes and realigned your car?

---Toe Rod Bushings (both ends)
---Lower Control Arm Bushings (Inner)
---Upper Control Arm Bushings (Rearward)
---Lower Strut Bushings

Step 3.
Grab the subframes or sway bars, and jounce the car up and down a few times.

Step 4.
Tighten all of the nuts/bolts to spec.

Step 5.
Align the car at the new ride height.

Your new coils and 5th gen will not perform as it should with your new lowering coils until the bushes are timed and the car aligned.

Hmmm, my shop sent it to Tire Discounters for alignment. Wonder if they
knew about this?

I doubt it.

You need to find an alignment shop that knows what to do or time the bushings yourself first and then go have it re-aligned.

The guys are Tire Discounters probably only got your car within the acceptable range of alignment (green lights) as opposed to actually giving it an accurate alignment.

An alignment that includes timing of your bushings is more than likely not going to be the standard $80 or so aligment. They'll need to add probably an hour or so on top of the alignment.

To the Original poster - As mentioned before, this is absolutely normal. If you look at a car even on the showroom floor they do this. It's just a little more noticable after you've done work to the suspension.

It's not in SW Ohio, but you might want to get in touch with the guys at IPS Motorsports. Brandon and his team are great to work with, even if it's a little too far to drive they might be able to recommend someone in your area to call. You can reach them at 740-657-3278.
