Carbon fiber wrap?

Has anyone thought about using carbon fiber wrap on their interior trim pieces? I am seriously debating using it on my guage bezels/steering wheel trim and pieces of the center console. Would like to know pros/cons on this vs painting?

I would say the only con would be that some of those pieces have some tough curves that would be hard to get perfect. Have you looked into having them hydrodipped in a carbon fiber pattern?

Yeah that was the other option for the CF. I have a friend that does hydrodipping and we were discussing painting/dipping or wrap. The wrap is the most inexpensive and something I could attempt myself. Paint seems kind of plain and a lot of people have it and hydrodipping would be the most expensive but best looking. Probably would be worth it to just dish out the money and get them dipped

Just checked your build thread and the door panels look amazing. How would you rate the difficulty of doing something like that?

EDIT: also would it be smart to hydrodip the trim pieces and wrap the panels? The panels look way easier to wrap. Also I am going to be using a green carbon fiber design/wrap since my cars color scheme is black/green

Wrapping them DIY, I have a buddy willing to give me a hell of a deal to do it for me but I like the satisfaction of doing things on my own if I feel I am capable

I'd say complicated. Especially if you are wanting to keep the ABL

If you have a lot of passengers, you may get the "is this real CF?" question a lot. And you're going to have to explain that it's a sticker...a lot.

I wouldnt wrap some parts and dip others. I think they will clash with each other. I would get it all dipped or wrapped. You could also dip some of the pieces and then paint other ones green or another color that will match the dipped carbon fiber

Thanks for all the tips guys. I talked to my buddy and he said the same things about the colors not matching up. This should be a project I let him start in the next couple weeks and im pretty anxious to see it
