Squiffy's 2011 CGM 2SS/RS (Picture heavy!)
Squiffy's 2011 CGM 2SS/RS Camaro
So I originally decided against making a journal here for lack of mods, but I've done a little over the past few years. With that said, I'm going to post relevant pictures and videos I've collected. Hopefully I'll be diligent to update this thread on a regular basis. Performance

Exhaust sound after exhaust but before Whipple:
Pictures from the supercharger install: Whipple first startup: Installing wheels here. Chrome lugs replaced with black ones because the factory ones didn't seat properly on the wheels. |

Plasti dipped bezels
Today, I decided to black out my tail light bezels. I chose plasti dip over regular painting. The main motivation behind plasti dip was the reversibility of it. Was pretty easy to do. After taking off the bezels, I used a cleaner to make it as clean as possible. For anyone else who wants to do this, make sure it is completely dry before applying the plasti dip. If you don't, you can get bubbles because of the plasti dip not adhering to the plastic. The good thing about plasti dip is that you can always peel it off and start over. Anyways, here are some pics:
Right after application of first coat. Here's what it looked like after coat number 2. There were a few spots of chrome showing, so I went back and gave it two more coats before I was happy. And here we are after the last coat before popping them back in. Another note, before popping them back in, it might be a good idea to clean the clips from overspray. If any plasti dip gets on the tabs, it could be much harder to snap in place. And here is the finished product. Thinking about doing the bow tie tomorrow. |
