events listing on main forum page?
HI guys and gals...
I've tried to inquire about having a events iyem/thread on the main forum page. Can this be done? I do not see one presently. In order to list events, you currently have to go to the Regional pages, but then you would have to post your event many times. If posted to just the region that the event is in, others will not know about it. I have 2012 event information to post, but would like to let everyone know about it, not just the region I am in. Help please? Barry EMCC |

You could always just post a thread in the regions you think will attend.

HI... well, that would be ALL regions - that's my concern. I don't have the time to monitor 15 different posting for the same event.
The event is CAMARO SUPERFEST 2012 This is a NATIONAL class event, so all should be able to see our announcements and comments. I have already posted 2012 info on other sites, but am trying to get this resolved, if possible, here on this site. Thanks! |

I don't know if you have seen this page but we have a Calendar page. --> LINK It's the link that says "Calendar" on the navigation bar at the top of the page.

Thanks Stieger, that at least give me a listing for all to see, BUT, it will not be seen until a month before the event, unless someone simply browses the calendar. That is not likely...
Thanks again, I will post the info there as well! I have also thought of posting the main item in one region and other posts in other regions, pointing to the main item and a note saying that the post will not be reviewed, only the main item will be reviewed. Barry |

If you scroll down to the bottom of the main forum page you will see there is a section that displays all the upcoming events for the next 90 days.

Yes, noticed that too this morning... guess I didn't notice it last year or the calendar for posting our 2011 event news.
sorry to be persistent, but is there no way for a events page on the main forum page? |

OK, posted my thread in EVERY regional forum, adding a line/link that the thread in the Great Lakes section is where comments-questions should be posted. Hopefully this will work.....

Hey Guys....
OK, so I posted my event on ALL regional forums to get me nationwide coverage on this site. I had MANY views on ALL regions... at least 60-90 views on each one, last time I checked about a week ago. To me, that indicates good interest in an event, even if it is a distance away! Just was checking in on these postings and ... whoa... can't find any of my postings on any of the other regions, only the Great Lakes, which is where the event is. So... am I being sensored? What gives please? Why were these postings removed? Barry Hensel EMCC |

Stieger... who are the "Mods"... are these persons on each regional forum? or the whole sight moderators? I would welcome some dialog on this issue.
