PTM mode not working?

When I switch to PTM mode, it now starts out in mode 2 as opposed to mode 3. I just noticed the difference over the last few days.

Also, while in mode 4, I performed a no lift up shift from 1 to 2 and experience severe bogging. There was no bogging when launching from 1st gear, only bogging after shifting to second. This also has never been a problem until today.

Is the PTM programming somehow messed up?

Any help is appreciated. thanks

When I push the button twice, PTM has always activated in mode 2 by default for me. At what rpms did you perform a no-lift shift? The feature only works if you're revs are above 5500...

Is it bogging, meaning that the engine sounds like it's laboring to pull the car forward when you reengage the clutch, or are you missing the shift? That's happened to me a few times...I'll wait too long to shift, and as I try to pull into 2nd, the engine's already at redline and my shift failed.

I experience better results (though not always) if I shift a tad early into second, without no-lift...and then allow the computer to help me through 2-3, and 3-4...

...how many miles on the car, did you switch gas stations, or get fuel of a different octane rating? Maybe you have a bad batch of gas. Mine always starts out default in sport mode PTM 2 when I toggle the stabiltrak switch twice to activate PTM.

I think you guys make good points. I did fue up (93) at a gas station that I don't normally use, so it may be a bad batch of gas. If so, it may have kicked me down to the lower octane table.

It may also be possilbe that I shifted a bit late, thus hitting the rev limiter.

I'll use this tank of gas up, fill up where I normally do, do the fuse pull and try again.

thanks for the help.
