4-Channel Amp in Camaro LS (non-BA)

Hey Guys (and Gals)-

I just wanted to know has anyone had success adding a 4-channel amp to the LS without replacing the factory radio.

I've already replaced the factory speakers with Polk DXi 6.5" components up front and DXi 6x9's in the rear deck. I have a Kicker 11HS8 (Hideaway) 8" sub on the way that i'm going to add.

Now i'm thinking of trying to add a 4-channel but the install has me questioning whether it will even work with the factory head unit.

First:

There is no 12v switch accessory on the factory radio harness, no problem, just grab accessory at the BCM or the cig socket.

Second:

How will OnStar, Door chimes & Bluetooth be retained?

From my experiences with installing 4-channel amps, you use a harness, then run the speaker wires to the amp input (The rear speakers can be grabbed from the deck), but the fronts will need to be grabbed from behind the radio.

Anyway, I just wanted to know if anyone has done it and how (without) replacing the radio? I guess i'm one of the few that actually likes the stock radio.

I guess I answered my own question.

Basically, take the AA-GM44 and cut the harness. The car side (factory) wire in your 4 channel speed wire. Radio side wire in your LOC, on the other end plug in your RCAs. Grab remote from the cig socket or BCM.

The AA-GM44 saves you from cutting the factory harness.

BOO-YAH...we're done.
