Trade my 2SS console w/ gauges for regular console

Gauging interest.....

I am thinking about trading my near perfect (if not perfect) center console w/ gauges (auto trans) for a same condition regular (non gauges) auto console and $100.

I know nothing about removing the consoles....so it would require you being able to remove/install them...

Local only please.

All you really need to trade is just the upper console. Silver part. You do not need to trade the PRNDM bezel as that is seperate.

Here is how to remove the part you wish to trade.

Turn key to on position and apply parking brake.
Pull shifter back to M.
On the backside of the shifter handle down toward the chrome part you will find a tiny plastic plug in back of shifter. Pull that out

Inside that hole is a #10 TORX head screw. remove screw and slide shifter handle straight up and off.

To remove the silver trim bezel you wish to trade simply put a finger nail under the silver piece back toward the cup holders and pull up. It will begin to pull right up. Pull upward until it is all free and you can see under it.

This is all done best from the passenger floor side. Now find the wiring harnesses under the trim bezel, unplug them. 2 harnesses and simply remove the entire top bezel. The PRNDM bezel will not come off with it and does not need to.

Now simply take your new unit. put it in place. plug in the now 1 wiring harness. Put the back in first and simply start pushing it down in place when lined up. Snap it all down then put your shifter handle back on and screw it in. Slide shifter back to P undo parking brake and now test your T/C button and 12v socket.

If all good your done.

This is literally a 30 min job with 1 tool #10 TORX bit.

Buy the bezel for cheap literally maybe $30 then sell yours for more than $100. Your giving away those way too cheap IMO as it's about a $300 part. The one your trading for is worth maybe $30

Just to prove daveagogo's point. this console was just listed with an asking price of $60. It has the manual shift pattern on it, so it's not what you need, but you can see the comparative value.

The part you want can be had on Ebay for usually around $30 + shipping so call it $40-45

Someone else just listed your part on here for $240+shipping so... I'd be asking for more like $200. Do what you wish but, i hate to see people just give stuff away especially if it's probably only because they are unsure of how to do it themselves. Trust me, it's a super easy job.

Thanks, I appreciate it man. I'll probably just try to buy the one I want first and then after the install sell my old one.

Is that bezel piece the only thing that would normally be included and I would just reuse my lighter piece, wires.....etc?

It's hard to tell by the pic but are there any scratches or scuffs on it?

Thanks!

Sometimes they come with t/c button and 12v socket. Somes times not. You can easily remove yours and pop them into this unit.

You would have to use your existing 12v output socket that comes with lid attached
