Traded my 2005 Corvette for the Camaro. For me it was a good move. Everyone has to do what is best for them. For me, it was the Camaro.

Yes the sticker price on the base model vette is around $49k, but you can talk the dealer down. I bought mine 6 months ago and sticker was $49k told them I would not pay over $40 and guess what brand new 09 vette for $40k out the door, buddy bought fully loaded 2010 2ss/rs for $38,500. The point is the vette and camaro are basically the same price

I don't want to get anything started here, but this is relevant to the thread. I have never been asked why I bought a Camaro instead of a Corvette, but many times I've been asked if its got a stick in it and when I say no it's an automatic they drop their heads and nod in disapproval.

RAdams, I have to say I like your "FAQ" that says it all. It seems that sooo many out there think "the car makes the man" and have to nitpick each others rides just because it's NOT what they drive. Glad to see you post on here.

I've never been asked why I didn't get a the Camaro, even when I tell people I'm awaiting an SS.
I do however get really peeved when people asked how much the car cost. I never know what to say, anybody got some good zingers for this question?
