The SVT TROLLS are jealous as hell!

You can stuff anything you want into that egg roll, it's still and egg roll.

Great time. I'm not surprised at all at mid 11s with tires on that car. Like it's been said before, give it time, it will only get better.

So, if a 4120lb car with 581HP with slicks and skinnies is able to attain a 11.43, what time might a 3850lb car with 662HP with slicks and skinnies attain?? We only have a couple more weeks to speculate. Erik

Svt forum members have convinced me that my 04 gt, which I have had since I was 15, isn't worth modifying and I should buy a 2013 1le or a 2010 ss.

Solely based on the fact that I would have to visit their forums to talk to people with similar mods.

When one forum posts topics from another, who really sucks?

IMHO the slip is all that matters.

It is what it is, the guys in Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona and other places with altitude >1500 feet don't have it as good as guys running near sea level.

I'm running right at sea level (Houston) and my car ranges from 11.9's to 12.1's due to weather, but I would probably be at 12.4 at Denver.

Concerning racing for slips, some guys have a lot better conditions than others, when to me, the slip is all that matters, because I know (without any computer telling me) that 11.43 will be around 11.6 or higher in Denver.

Scoreboard = 11.43!

Eastside in the house...... Congrats guys. So this is Ken Q's car... Bring that pile to Atlanta and run the 5th gen class. Good to see you guys still playing with GM cars.

Those those who don't know these guys, Eastside has been been playing with LS cars since the early days.

svtperformance is one of the worst Mustang forums around. If you like to chat about cat backs, tires/wheels, CAI's, this tune or that, it is the place to hang out. The "real" technical discussions happen on other boards.

I agree on the slip however correcting up or down to sea level is the closest thing a person can do to eliminate the air conditions when comparing a run in California next to a run made in New York. Refer back to my "hero" comment made earlier. What tracks in the country seem to hold more of those? Cecil, MIR, etc....

We southern guys can only speculate on how our cars would run given the same conditions.

Let's face it, the 2012-2013 ZL1 and the 2011-2012 GT500 is going to be a drivers race at the strip.

To the OP, thanks for posting up the info. It's nice to see what the ZL1 can do on tires! Awesome time!

Actually, Lebanon is probably the slowest track around. I'd bet he goes faster at Atco or Englishtown.

Thats what I thought. Atco with some more miles on it and maybe some 11.20s.

Yep. That's it.

Or maybe it's just nice to finally have a little bit of competition in the pony segment again?
