Night Fury Cam Dyno Compilation
I get a lot of emails each week asking me what this cam makes. My answer is the the same - Depends on the rest of the supporting mods.
*Good Cold Air With Scoop, UD Pulley, 1 7/8 Headers, Ported Intake & TB - 475-485rwhp *Avg Cold air, No UD Pulley, Stock Intake & TB - 465-475rwhp We also dyne all cars in a specific manner - You can read my thoughts on this in a thread I wrote: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=313744 Thought you guys may want to see how some of them here at our shop turned out. We haven't had a chance to post any video's lately so check out some of the graphs we have been giving out. |

I definitely love the torque curve of this cam. It's flat like a table top! It even carries over to the F/I realm just the same!

tune
And to add to this, the cam is very streetable, most might worry but dont we have installed this in daily drivers they can cruise this cam 6th gear at 60mph no bucking or surging at all, if their is take it back to tuner.
I think this is a great cam with these car, just like to give feed back on great products |

This seems to be the question everyone wants to pull our cam into. We run this cam at .615 - .617 lift and setup the Pac Springs to Manufacturers recommendations so as to not run too much spring pressure on the valve train, but also keep enough to keep control of it. If valve springs are not setup properly they can and will kill the valvetrain. We have spoken to several spring manufacturers on this subject and we are confident in our choices. I have been using this setup for years. We also have several other options available for this cam such as the Pac 1207x, Pac 1205x, Manley 660, PRC 650 Kits that we will suggest for depending on the customer. All of these are good options. At the end of the day it is ultimately up to customer to do what they seem most comfortable with. We offer the different spring packages that we know will work confidently with our cams. As a company we are choosing manufacturers of springs that we have true data on, which is more that I can say for others recommended here that may be offered at a better price and are in my opinion a new flavor of the month and something new so people are ready to jump on the bandwagon. I encourage you guys to look, and read many other platforms other than just this message board and then call the manufacturers and speak with all of them. There are truly so many varying opinions(please realize that these are opinions that have somehow become a truth that is not true) out there that you owe it to yourself to do proper research and go over these things with your installer when making your choices. I am always available to help customers as much as we possibly can. We have cams that are proven, setups that have over 40k miles on them that have been checked and there is no wear on the camshafts, and little to no loss of spring pressure. Hopefully this helps. what do you mean set up properly. Do I have to buy the tool and shims to check hight? I have a NF with the 1208x springs. Is there anything more I have to do then swap them out with the spring seats seals, and retainers that came with your kit?

With the Pac 1208 package we sell it will install as is. The retainers and seats give it the proper installed height. You are good to go.
