Early oil change...How do you know that you have reset the oil life system?

For those that have done early oil changes, the manual tells you that after changing the oil, to reset the system. It says that the "CHANGE OIL SOON" message will go off when it's done property. If you change the oil early, that message never appears, so, how do you know that you have reset it?

Send a message via AIM to FenwickHockey65
You have to go into the DIC and reset it manually.

Yes it is, but all you have to do is go to the oil life indicator and hold reset.

Thats wierd. On my 07 Torrent when you drop the oil filter the OLM resets itself. Kinda like an idiot proof syste, Not sure if the sensor is near the pan and when theres no oil it resets itself, but I have never reset it, and I check it after every change and its always reset to 100%.
