Bought mine in August 2009. Went to my local dealership for service on an Avalanche. This SS was on the showroom floor. Took one look at it and knew I was hooked. Excellant ride...can't go anywhere in town that I'm not stopped by others to look it over and have even had some take pictures of it.

What a ride!!!

i dont seem to get any looks at all here in SWFL lol. not too many drivers seem to have noticed. a guy walking out of CVS tonite kept looking back at it as he was walking to his car but thats about it. i got my first day of class tomorrow so hopefully i find a good spot that it wont get trashed. the first mustang, vette, benz, bmw, or nissan z i see im parking next to them.

it'll happen...when i rented that IOM one i didn't get much attention, but did get a little bit. depends on where you go i guess.

Congrats to all that just picked up there rides. And hope the wait isn't too bad for those patiently waiting. Hope we show up strong at the C5fest in april!! 7 months and 9700 miles on the OD. Luv this car! Just ordered my CAI and installing GM performance exhaust today! Will post some pics when done.

I find that surprising because I get the funniest looks, high fives , waves and people mouthing something that I cant understand. but the staring is really a crack up from old to young. My kids get a kick out of the attention however around here all the chevy lots now have any where from 10-20 camaro's on the lots for sale. I can only imagain what spring is going to be like when the warm weather has them all out on the roads. I think we will also see lots of Cough Cough Challengers as well. So far on here in Salt Lake I know of only three ABM SS and One ABM LT2 ( Me)..

My husband can't fly out of Libya to come home because of the weather, my car is somewhere is Ohio and it is suppose to snow here in Mississippi. Hope everything is straighted out by next week! Still a race to see whether my car will beat my husband home! lol

I had some teens grab thier cell phones and snap pics of my abm the other day. I watched them through the window at my tanning salon and laughed at them as they quickly took off after they took the pics.. they looked so nervous like they were going to get into trouble!

heres a few i took today after class, broke the 100mile mark today. and had a beat up jeep grand Cherokee revving up next to me in bumper to bumper traffic was kinda funny.

I wanted one when I first saw the ABM. It reminded me of the first 2 year Camaros. My neighbors buddy had one and it was beautiful to a 10 yr old. It has taken me till now to get one. Went to the dealer on Nov 20th to order it and was told the color was no longer available. I was crushed. So I got on here and opened a link asking if anyone had one on order that wasn't spoken for. CamaroScotty (by the way thanks, I owe you) hooked me up with Anna Bearinger at Sparta Chevrolet in MI. She had a M6 and an A6 on order with neither one promised. I snapped that ABM M6 SS/RS up as fast as I could. She just called today and sent me these pics. I go get it next Thursday and drive it down to TX.

Congrats on your ABM Manual 6 speed !!
We love ours!
And we had to get one from Michigan also!!
Had to hire a flatbed driver to go to MI and bring her home on Nov. 24!
You'll do your breaking-in time just coming home.
Beware, it's a smooth ride!

KBS71, great story. My neighbor, couple years old than me, had a '67 blue Camaro SS back when I was a teenager. I think it was 1974 and he paid $1000 for it. I loved that car ... spent many fun times cruisin' in the back seat with my 2 buddies (too young to drive). When I first saw ABM, I knew that was the only color choice for me ... had to have one.
Great pic also of the back-to-back ABM's coming off that car carrier in the snow. That's something that you just won't be able to see, 'cuz they ain't makin' it anymore.
