Found this on COMP Cams
Hi found this on GM High Tech Performance site.
COMP Cams - LS3/L92 Rocker Arms / L92 Camshaft / F.A.S.T. LSX-R Intake Manifold Comp Cams always comes out with some unique performance items, and this year was no disappointment. The LS3/L92 owners will be happy to know that there is an adjustable 1.7 ratio rocker arm to replace the factory cast offset rocker arms. The L92 camshaft kit was designed to work with the variable valve timing system found in those engines. This same VVT technology will also be found in the automatic transmission equipped 2010 Camaro SS. The biggest news from Comp Cams is the F.A.S.T. LSX-R composite intake manifold, designed to work with a 102mm throttle body for LS3 and L92 engines. This intake manifold is a modular design, with removable individual runners that can be altered or shortened by engine builders to custom tailor them to the engines they are feeding. I like that intake...I was thinking about this last night...they say after putting on CNC'd heads and cams the only thing holding the LSX back is the stock intake manifold. And it looks like Comp is addressing that, but they have these "tunable" runners...well why doesn't someone just make an old TPI LT1 style intake that has "on the fly" adjustable runners? I just picture the large manifold being able to raise and lower and having the runners shorten or lengthen by telescoping...get my drift?

I wish I knew half the stuff you guys do about mechanics. I'm usually as lost as Elton John in a strip club when it comes to motors and stuff. :(

none of this is new. They are simply listing parts that have been available for a bit together.

I'm kind of in the same boat cept for a little twist ... "I've only learned from eaither, A. fixing it after I broke it... or B. modifying it to the point it breaks.

2 classic quotes right there.
So I really want to see a cam only comparison between the LS3 and L99. Does the G8 GXP A6 have VVT/AFM? I'd like to see a real comparison between an equivalent cam on an LS3 (non-VVT) and an L99 to see the difference in HP/torque, |
