Installed the Barton short throw today and an Ebay skip shift. Both work wonderfully. Getting my windows retinted tomorrow and some clear bra put on. Cant wait to get to the go faster mods.

You'll definately like the Barton's ability to raise and lower the shifter handle. Worked great for me. I had the hurst and had issues with it. While the Barton has similar measurements when fully screwed all the way down it's adjustability helped me out to fine tune mine, Where as with the other you get what you get.

Folks I'm only going to say this once. I apologies to all who had to read the little cat fight I had with Don. Being from Jersey sometimes I'm hard headed and don't know when I'm talking to a wall. It won't happen anymore.I'll refrain from commenting on anything he has to say. Learn from my experiance and don't get into a tit for tat with him. No one's going to ruin this site for me nor track night in the spring. I was wrong and shouldn't have let it go on.

Happy new Year, only 4 more weeks till I can drive Monsterboy again, though I've started him up in the driveway a few times.

Kirk you better get permission from Julie before offering up your skin flute for someone else to play. Seems like a little fight going on here in the testostorine zone...ruff ruff. Kind of think some should have bought Rustangs so the battle would be better at the track. Remember we are all on the same team and its not how fast you go but how good you look getting there...lol I miss Dirty Harry and think I will give him a nice coat of wax tomorrow. Its been 45 days since his last coat and he has gone zero miles since. roflmao.

Happy New Year to everyone

It's pretty nice so far. Everything I want from it. I do need to play with the level a bit, but nice none the less.

Sorry, never learned to play small instruments (however you could place an ad for companionship on Craigs List)..... Just kidding, I can tell you never give up :
Yes - springtime sounds likes loads of fun! Can't wait to see everyone again.

"New to forums
Just got back home to Colorado after almost 4 years away and brought a brand new Victory Red, 2SS/RS M6 with black hockeys and ground effects(coming soon). Didn't handle so well in the snow blizzard we just had but should do better now that I got some new snow tires on.
"

Welcome buzguh! Good to have more memers - hopefully see you at some of the events.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

I ran mine all the way down then screwed it back up 2.5 turns. That did it for me. How was the install? Was the last o-ring real tight? And did you go with the stock handle? Had to love the price compared to any of the others offered out there too!

Install wasn't as easy as it was for some. Mine got hung up on the first o-ring. First time Barton had heard of that happening. I went to Home Depot and got a couple of longer bolts and used them to pull the unit into the housing. The boot went on easy after I lowerd the tranny mount all the way. I went with their handle with the SS engraved. The price was great!

I did the same thing with the bolts. Rep from Barton said the clearence varied that is why some had a hard time getting it past the o-rings. Also they used a much harder material for their o-rings. Hurst was very soft. Also they added an additional o-ring so it gave it a little extra support from vibration. It was the smaller red one. So it really has many more upgrades to it than the Hurst.
