Cool video but I dont get why you say the gt500 can't go lap after lap?

It seems like GM did pretty good with the auto even on the track it seems to upshift and downshift when it's supposed to without any lag and the fact that the brakes can keep going after stopping all that mass is impressive now they just need to fix the heat soak issues.

Joe what mode were you in it doest seem to wiggle coming out of corner. When I took my bike( cbr 1000rr ) to the track I loved getting it to wiggle under brake/down shift going into corner as well as accelerating out. When I tracked my last camaro 2000 ss i had her side ways going thru a corner that went to the right while going up and over a hill. The car in weighted and snapped sideways at 80 and I was looking at the infield saved it and next time around I got thumbs up from the corner workers. Glad to see you are enjoying your car wish I had mine to do the same

He's probably referring to the review that said the GT500 had brake fade. There's another video showing a GT500 and ZL1 racing lap after lap but I don't have the energy.....

Take the trolling to another Forum. There have been more than a couple comments from different reviewers about the inconsistancy some of them have found in the Imp. I don't care enough to do the work to find them - you can, if you don't like it.

Both cars are capable of getting around the track pretty well, I think.

it's just the gt500 has brake fade that a set of aftermarket brakes can probably address.

The ZL1 can also exhibit brake fade. By the OP's own admission.

why do people keep making ZL1 vs GT500 threads then they seem to disappear. I am starting to think they just like to stir the pot or have serious insecurity issues.
