3.91 in a Manual LLT

I know the 3.91 gears can be put in the V6 w/manual transmission, so the stupid questions is, can I do a swap with a SS rear differential instead of removing my rear differential and putting in the gears.

The SS diff does not come stock with 3.91 gears unless you get one out of a 1LE or a previously modded SS.

The shop already has some upgraded to 3.91 gears. Was just wondering if all they had to do is is to swap the diff.

How much did the gears change the overall feel of the car? Notice any major difference in mpg or anything like that?

I'm more interested how 3.91s will affect our 1/4 mile times. Will it make the car feel faster with more shifts or will it actually be faster.

Yeah I'm curious as well? Any updates to how this feels/affects performance?

Haven't had it on the track yet, rpm wise, I'm now at 2100 rpm when doing 60 in sixth gear. So if you do a lot of highway driving it may not be for you but feels better (mentioned to someone with the SS and 3.91 and it gives you the feeling of the car being lighter).

2100rpm @60mph with 3.91? are you on stock size tires? I thought it was supposed to be only a 180rpm increase around 1700rpm

I should have bought a ZL1

on the track i would have to shift another time, so it would probably be slower. I am almost at redline in 3rd in the 1/4 now...

But on the street it would feel faster

How does first gear feel like, and does the shop you bought them at have any more? Who tuned the car for you?
